This Privacy Policy explains how ForBookings (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use ForBookings.

1. Data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Identity and contact data: name, email address, phone number, country of residence.
  • Booking data: travel dates, guest count, accommodation/tour/vehicle selected, special requests.
  • Payment data: payment method, billing address, and a transaction reference. We do not store full card numbers — payments are processed by a PCI-DSS compliant third party.
  • Account data: login credentials, profile photo, marketing preferences.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, cookies and similar technologies.

2. How we use your data

We use your data to:

  • Process and confirm your booking and communicate with the property/tour/vehicle supplier on your behalf.
  • Send booking confirmations, reminders and post-stay messages.
  • Provide customer support and handle complaints or refund requests.
  • Improve and secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse.
  • Send marketing communications only where you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We process your data on the basis of (a) performance of the contract for the booking you have made, (b) your consent for marketing communications, (c) compliance with legal obligations, and (d) our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Service.

4. Who we share your data with

We share your data only with: the supplier of the accommodation, tour or vehicle you booked (to fulfil the booking); payment processors; analytics and email providers acting as our data processors; and authorities where legally required. We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Some of our processors may be located outside Azerbaijan. Where this is the case, we ensure appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) are in place.

6. How long we keep your data

We retain booking records for the period required by accounting and tax law (typically 5–7 years). Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted on request, subject to the retention requirements above.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the Service (session, security, language and currency preferences) and optional cookies for analytics and marketing. You can control optional cookies through your browser settings or the cookie banner.

9. Security

We use HTTPS, encrypted storage of credentials, and access controls to protect your data. No system is 100% secure — please notify us immediately if you suspect a breach affecting your account.

10. Children

The Service is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page will reflect the date of the most recent change.
